Another lecture from our Indigenous Knowledge series taught by the ever so wonderful Professor Umin Itei.
This lecture was titled: “Initiative of Indigenous Health Rights in Taiwan”. Our WSU students learned about the current state of public health in Taiwan and it’s inequalities when it comes to the Indigenous population. Professor Umin also shared some of his fieldwork and personal experiences that showed the discrepancies in medical treatment and accessibility when it comes to the Indigneous population in Taiwan.
